To care for your kuksa on a daily basis, use only natural, non-chemical and non-abrasive products. To keep your kuksa intact for years, you need to know how to clean, dry, store and care for it.

What not to do:

Do not put wooden tableware in the dishwasher.
Wooden tableware should not be washed in boiling water.
Wooden tableware must not be soaked in water.
Wooden tableware should not be washed with conventional washing-up liquid.
Do not use abrasive sponges to clean wooden tableware.

Before using your kuksa

When you receive your kuksa and take it out of the box, you'll notice that the wood is very cold. This is normal, as the kuksa was transported to your home in trucks, trains or even planes! Don't drink any hot beverages from it just yet. Your kuksa needs to return to room temperature before use, otherwise it will suffer too much thermal shock. To make sure the wood is properly warmed up, run your kuksa under lukewarm water.
