How are Kupilka products made?

Kupilka products are factory-made from their own material, Kareline. Kupilka products are not handmade.

What is Kareline?

Kareline is made from 50% Nordic softwood cellulose from certified Finnish forests and 50% food-grade polyolefins. This material means a lower carbon footprint for raw materials, easier product cleaning, longer aging and more precise, deeper laser engraving that lasts longer.

Where are Kupilka products made?

Kupilkas are made in Finland. They have received several awards, including the Key Flag symbol attesting that the product is +80% made in Finland. Kareline natural fiber composites have also won numerous awards.

Is the color of Kupilka natural?

Kupilka products are dyed with colors approved for food contact. The color of the product may change with time and use, becoming slightly less vibrant.

Are Kupilka products microwave-safe?

No. To guarantee the longevity of Kupilka products, we advise against putting them in the microwave, on the stove or over a campfire.

What can Kupilka products be used for?

Kupilka products can withstand a wide range of temperatures, from -30°C to +100°C. So you can use them for all cold and hot foods and beverages without worry. Coffee, tea, juices and alcoholic beverages are no problem, as Kupilka does not absorb the odor or taste of food and beverages.
